Dehradun, one of India’s most peaceful cities. I still remember coming here during school vacations, staying with Geeta Masi just to spend a few weeks surrounded by mountains. Away from Delhi’s endless traffic, noise, and pollution. Away from the rush that seemed to depress me. As I grew up, I’ve always wanted a life here in Dehradun. A slower life. A quieter life. But, unfortunately, work never made that possible.
It was 5:30 in the morning, and the sun had just begun its slow climb over the horizon, painting the sky in shades of orange and blue. A cool breeze drifted through the air, carrying the scent of damp earth and blooming flowers. In the distance, the hills stood wrapped in a thin veil of mist, as if the mountains themselves were reluctant to leave the comfort of the night.
