The only thing I hated about my life was being forced to wake up early in the morning. We had returned home late last night, and yet Bade Papa somehow expected me to be awake and functioning by seven in the morning. Absolutely not. But could I tell him that? Also absolutely not. So somehow, through immense suffering and sacrifice, I managed to wake up and get ready. The rest of the morning was pretty normal. Everyone was still discussing yesterday’s engagement. The decorations. The arrangements. The guests. And most importantly, the presence of the Salujas. I knew who the Salujas were. I mean, who didn’t? Their hotel chain was one of the most luxurious in India and Dubai. What I didn’t know was that they were somehow related to my future bhabhi. That was new information.
